Bio: Jen was first introduced to the Eels in the summer of 2019 when her children, Jordan and Emilia, started Pre Team lessons. Watching her kids make friends, build skills and confidence, and grow to love swimming has inspired her to be more involved and she is looking forward to supporting the team any way she can. Jen lives in the Slippery Rock area and is employed by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency as a Senior Business Analyst. When not working or at activities with her kids she enjoys competing in triathlons, playing volleyball, skiing, and spending time outdoors with Heith and the kids. |

Bio: Mary became an Eels parent in the fall of 2021 when her daughter Ivy joined the SRST swim team. Though she was never a swimmer herself, Mary has enjoyed watching Ivy fall in love with the sport. The SRST Eels family is tight-knit, and Mary has progressively gotten more involved with the team. You can usually find her on deck at home meets, seeding the swimmers for their events. She enjoys encouraging all the swimmers to do their best and have fun! Mary is a high school counselor in Butler, but lives in Slippery Rock with her husband and two children. When not at the pool, she enjoys fitness activities and playing violin at church and in her band. Mary looks forward to developing her knowledge of this amazing sport and helping to support this incredible swim team. |

Bio: Bethany has been with the Eels since her son joined the team for the 2019-2020 season. Her daughter then became an Eels swimmer the following year. Bethany has been very impressed with the positive Eels community and is happy to serve as treasurer for the team. Bethany is not a swimmer herself, but she has always been a runner and enjoys going for runs, bike rides, and hikes with her family. She is employed by the Butler Area School District as a sixth grade teacher and resides in the Slippery Rock Area with her husband Scott and three kids, Patrick, Emma, and Jacob. |

Bio: Sara Kramer became an Eels parent in Fall 2021 when her daughter Diana joined the Team. Her younger two, Michael and Caroline, started in the Pre-Team program with Michael joining the team in 2023. While Sara didn’t swim competitively as a youngster, you would often find her in the neighbor’s pool or on the softball field. She believes in the power of Sport in raising confident, compassionate and resilient humans and is thankful her kids found the Eels. Sara worked for USIS for nearly 10 years in Review, Quality Control and Program Management before leaving to stay home to raise kids and a herd of cows. She and her husband Mike run Willow Creek Family Farm providing Beef for the local community. They live in Slippery Rock with their 3 kids, herd of cows, 2 pups, clutter of cats, colony of rabbits and a resident mule. If she isn’t at the pool with the kids she is down at the barn doing chores or hanging in the pasture with the cows. She also enjoys gardening and quilting in her “free” time. You will often hear her cheering for all Eel swimmers alike at the swim meets. Go Eels! |

Bio: Leslie became an Eels swim mom in 2022. She and her siblings spent their childhood on the Bethco Pines swim team in Johnston, PA and continued swimming into adulthood in Colorado. The whole family is excited Roan has become the fourth generation of Gilbert swimmers. She is thrilled with the friends he has made on the team and with all the coaching leadership. Getting involved with the team and volunteering was an easy decision. Leslie has worked in the mines near Boyers, PA as a photo archivist for twenty years. She and her family live in Slippery Rock. |

Bio: Shelby became part of the Eels in 2022 when her daughter Sydney started preteam at age five in the summer and then became part of the team for the fall season. She is originally from Altoona, PA and moved to the area 17 years ago for employment after graduation from Penn State and IUP. When not working, she enjoys watching hockey and spending time with her daughter and husband. Sydney has always loved water whether it was standing at the sink playing for hours or wearing goggles in the bathtub while playing, so the Eels is a perfect fit. She is employed by OPM and resides in Slippery Rock with her husband Derek and daughter Sydney. |
